Introducing our Tinies Coaching Team for 2020

Coach - Chelsea Edmonds

Hi, my name is Chelsea. I am a level 1 Coach, extending my experience by taking on the role of  Head Coach of the 2020 DCC Tinies. I am studying for a diploma in Early Childhood Studies this year, I also work part-time at a local childcare centre and wait tables some evenings at a local restaurant.  I've been dancing with Deanne Calisthenics for 13 years now and I love Calisthenics and the community of wonderful people that are my friends. I've been dancing since I was 3 years old, not just calisthenics, but also tap, jazz and some ballet lessons.

My favourite calisthenics routine is Aesthetics, a beautiful ballet style with the most gorgeous costumes!

I am thankful for all the help and support that the Deanne community offers and cannot wait to further my experiences in Coaching this year! I love when our participants are learning new things, having fun and kicking their personal goals!

When I'm not dancing, I love spending time with family, going to the beach, walking mountain trails, riding my bike and watching movies!

Cadet - Caitlin Williams

I first started Calisthenics when I was 4 years old and 2019 marked my 15th year with 14 years of it being done in Melbourne. I moved to Canberra in 2018 taking a year off from Calisthenics where I performed in our University production of High School Musical as a Cheerleader, before returning to Calisthenics in 2019. Growing up my favourite items have always been March, Clubs and Rods. I have always been really keen on other sports outside of Calisthenics and in 2019 I picked up playing Rugby Union where I was lucky enough to play in Japan! I currently study at the Australian Defence Force Academy in the Army whilst doing a Bachelor of Business at UNSW Canberra. I really hope I can continue doing Calisthenics wherever I am posted around Australian in the future as it is the sport I keep coming back to no matter what.

Class Assistant - Marissa Edmonds

I’m Marissa, I love calisthenics! I have been dancing for 8 years and will be an Inter with DCC this year. My favourite routine is Freearm! I am looking forward to being a class assistant for Tinies in 2020. I like helping the participants to learn new skills and have fun every week. I love competition days and performing on stage!

Class Assistant - Erin Galliford

Erin has been dancing for seven years (one year of ballet followed by six years of calisthenics). One of the best things Erin enjoys about calisthenics is dancing with her friends. Her favourite item to perform is clubs and her favourite to item to watch is free-exercises. Erin also represented the ACT in the sub-junior team at Nationals in 2017 and 2018. One her best memories is finding out she was selected for the ACT team in 2017. Another thing Erin has enjoyed about calisthenics is doing solos for the past two years and in 2020 she is hoping to compete in a duo. Outside of calisthenics Erin enjoys reading books, learning piano and playing French horn in the school band.

Class Assistant - Hayley Hodge

I have been dancing for almost 6 years. My favourite items are Freearm, March and Rods. I love dancing with my friends and improving my flexibility and learning new tricks. Outside of calisthenics my hobbies are horse riding, taekwondo and acrobatics.
