Coach - Lizzie Nethery
I started Calisthenics in 2007, as a Sub Junior. After having a few years off while living overseas, I rejoined in 2012 and have continued ever since. My favourite parts of calisthenics are the variety of items and the people I’ve met. I like that calisthenics differs from item to item. It teaches girls many skills and is more interesting than doing a single style of dance. I have also made a lot of friends over the years, and believe that calisthenics creates a positive social environment.
I have been involved in coaching for 5 years now. In 2018, I obtained my level one and coached the Sub Juniors, which I was a cadet for previously. In 2019, I moved up to the Junior age group and really enjoyed it. My favourite items to teach are clubs and free arm.
I am very excited to now step up another age group and coach the Inters in 2020.
Assistant Coach - Keely Wilkinson
Hi I’m Keely and I’m 24. I have been involved both as a competitor and coach for over 20 years. And I am the assent coach of the intermediates for 2020
Senior Cadet - Megan Wilkinson
Hi I’m Megan and I will be 19 this year. I have been doing calisthenics for 15 years and I’ve been coaching for 3 years, this year I will also be completing my level one.
Cadet - Zoe Heinrichs
I started calisthenics at the age of 6 and have competed for 20 years. Having moved from Melbourne to Canberra a few years ago, calisthenics was the best way to make amazing new friends in a new city.
I’m really looking forward to working with the Intermediates and the Seniors this year. Inters has always been my favourite age group to work with so it’ll be great to be back in there, and getting to work with the Seniors as an assistant will be a new experience!
